The Under Construction Series is The Constructivists’ ongoing commitment to developing new work in public—inviting audiences into the process before a piece is produced. The 2026 project brings together an ensemble of Milwaukee artists to interrogate what the world looks like now: who it serves, who it leaves out, and what it demands of us in a rapidly shifting cultural landscape.
The piece is led by Head Writer Amber Regan, with mentorship from playwright Andrew Hobgood, and is directed by Rebekah Farr.
The creative ensemble includes Liz Ehrler, Kellie Wambold, Nicole McCarty, Emily Harris, Libby LaDue, and Kendra Krouth whose collective voices and perspectives will shape the material throughout the development process.
In keeping with The Constructivists’ commitment to ethical, artist-centered practices, the project includes Intimacy Consultant Laura Sturm and Violence Consultant Nicole Magnusson, ensuring that difficult material is created with care, consent, and clarity. Jaimelyn Gray heads the project as Artistic Producer.
