About This Event

Explore the Allis mansion as each room is activated by different fibers and textiles practices. Watch demonstrations of weaving, knitting, spinning, fiber processing, quilting, lace-making, crochet, and felting, and try your own hand at the craft! Check out a screening of 'The Nettle Dress', a 2023 documentary following one man's journey in processing raw nettle plants into a woven dress. Stop by the courtyard to interact with some fiber-bearing animals including llama, alpaca, and rabbit.

Materials will be provided.

This event is included with museum admission. Buy tickets here ahead of time, or pay in person at the museum on the day of the event.
