About This Event
Explore the Allis mansion as each room is activated by different fibers and textiles practices. Watch demonstrations of weaving, knitting, spinning, fiber processing, quilting, lace-making, crochet, and felting, and try your own hand at the craft! Check out a screening of 'The Nettle Dress', a 2023 documentary following one man's journey in processing raw nettle plants into a woven dress. Stop by the courtyard to interact with some fiber-bearing animals including llama, alpaca, and rabbit.
Materials will be provided.
