Exhibition Overview:
BIRD BODY features 20 original wooden paintings and sculptures by Charles Allis Artist-in-Residence, Hattie Grimm. Inspired by the instinctual wisdom of birds and our own animal bodies, this collection urges us to listen to what our feelings and sensations are trying to tell us. From joy to grief, Grimm’s work reminds us that our bodies carry messages worth hearing.
About the Artist:
Hattie Grimm is a Wisconsin-based artist and educator whose work explores emotion, memory, and sensation through sculpture and painting. A graduate of UW–Madison, she has led workshops across the state and integrates reflection, movement, and art-making into her creative practice.
