About This Event
Bird Parade: Intention Setting Workshop
May 10, 2025 | 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Join us for a creative and restorative morning in the beautiful Great Hall of the Charles Allis Art Museum for a unique intention-setting workshop led by Artist-in-Residence Hattie Grimm and art therapist/yoga instructor Haley Fuhr.
Together, we’ll move through a 35-minute intuitive yoga flow, guided journaling, and reflective meditation before participating in a symbolic parade with a giant bird puppet. This ritual-based gathering invites us to explore personal and collective liberation, inspired by the migration and wisdom of birds.
Participants will have the chance to write their intentions on fabric feathers and contribute them to the bird before we take it outside to send those dreams into flight.
Please bring:
- A yoga mat (extras available)
- A water bottle
- Comfortable clothing and shoes for outdoor walking
About the Exhibition – BIRD BODY
On View: April 24 – September 25, 2025
Created by Artist-in-Residence Hattie Grimm, BIRD BODY features 20 original wooden paintings and sculptures that explore the deep connections between instinct, emotion, and the body. Inspired by the migratory wisdom of birds, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how our own physical and emotional signals guide us toward healing and growth.
